- a creative project by and for survivors of domestic abuse
Brief of the project:
I am looking for courageous individuals to join me in making a dance video to Katie Doherty's song 'Angry Daughters' to showcase the power, dignity and hope of survivors of domestic abuse. My aim is to bring together as many individuals as possible in a show of courage and solidarity that will hopefully inspire people currently going through domestic abuse to seek help and show light at the end of the tunnel. This video will be shared publicly and give courage to those who are currently in abusive situations.
If you think you'd like to get involved, here is how:
1) Watch my two demo videos with dance and film instructions
2) Film your version of both videos
3) Upload your videos by going to www.wetransfer.com, this service is free. When prompted to set up an account just click 'no thanks'. Then use the email Esther.firstname.lastname@example.org in the 'To' box, and enter your email below. Please include your full name in the message box.
Once I’ve received your footage I’ll email you to confirm and eventually you’ll receive a link to the final film.
This project is not for profit and any money raised will be donated to domestic abuse charities.
Please share this project with people whose lives have been touched by domestic abuse. The more participants the louder our voice. Thank you for helping people currently experiencing domestic abuse.
By uploading your video you consent to its full use in the ‘Angry Daughters’ film project and its promotion on social media platforms and elsewhere.
The song is by Northumberland based singer/ songwriter Katie Doherty. Click here to listen in full.
